Once i get the order for default, how can i get about getting my money from the defendant?
My claim is $2500, with wedding photography, IL he has been served and notified on two ocassions for a court date, once the judge grants me the default judgement, how can i go about getting my money back? Garnishment? please help, Thanks!
You can get a judgment that entails an asset or go for garnishment from an employer. IL is probably his/her own employer so good luck with getting them to entail their own work. Collections is a big part of the battle. I suggest you post your judgment with the credit reporting services and see if they try and get you to clear it.
