Printing and producing posters and calendars?
Has anyone produced photo wall calendars? I dont mean like inkjet-printed, spiral-bound family calendars to give at Christmas. I mean like the large ones you would buy in a shop. What is a cost-effective way to do this with good results? Say I want to print 500 calendars and sell them to tourists. Ditto for posters, my photography is of say of a city or landscape work.
Printing is so competitive that you can and should shop around. Quantity is the name of the game. In runs of 250 16-page 12in x 12in, computer graphics that you supply, expect to pay $3.50 per unit (about $900) before shipping. Shipping costs can be significant, you’d need to compare with local print shops with the online print businesses.
Posters… well, that can be a lot of different things. A custom 22″ x 40″ print runs about $10 each from your computer file. Posters (large-format, full color) is an expensive proposition.
