When do you need a model release form for photography?
If I took a picture of a group of strangers, would I need a model release from EACH one to market my photo??
Also, is it necessary to get a model release if a person is not recognizable (back of head, silhouette, etc)?
And, what’s the best way to keep track of who’s who with model releases?? If you have five people in a picture, how do you tell which release belongs to each person?
Who decides a person is unrecognizable always best to get a signed release play it safe. Photo’s taken in public places do not require a release in most cases it’s public domain but if you are taking pictures of specific individuals and providing direction on how to position themselves (posing for you) get a release signed. When in doubt get a release it would be a shame if you got a great picture but couldn’t use it for legal reasons.
