photography dof tutorial
I’m a beginner who needs to MASTER a Nikon FG, can you find me any tutorials??

It’s even my first time with an SLR camera. I need to understand more about the DOF, aperture, using the dials, setting the exposure..
I want to try Macro photography with it.. is it possible??
I also have an extension Sigma 1:4.5 lens, f=70 – 210 mm.

I don’t even know what that means!! I need to learn that from scratch AND be as good at it as pro:
I want to learn all the tricks, can you help me find a suitable tutorial please?? ^_^

THANKS!

that’s a tutorial for the shutter and aperture…
here are some definition:

shutter: is how fast the camera’s shutter actuates, and absorbs light to take the image. You use a wide variety of shutter speeds in photography.

traditionally, you use slower shutter speeds inside, than out, but you can use a slower shutter speed, outside, when you manipulate the shutter heres an example of this :

here’s the stats:
aperture: f/20
shutter: 1/30

which is just slow enough to create this effect, but i wouldn’t try this on your film camera, unless you have a tripod. However, you can open up the shutter, and decrease the number, to absorb the most amount of light, Thus, you’ll get a higher shutter speed:

f/5.6
1/100 ( it was really cloudy, and couldn’t get a higher one )

on, the nikon FG, you change the shutter speed on the right dial, use a shutter speed accordingly with the situation. Then, you change the ISO on the left. Change the ISO on the dial according to the Speed of film you have, don’t change it otherwise. And, you adjust the aperture from the lens you have attached

email me if you have any more questions
i’d really love to help you:
