How can I best learn about composition in photography?
Any websites, tutorials, books, etc? Also, what are some things I can do on a daily basis that will make me have a paradigm shift about composition?
Study the masters: Ansel Adams, Vermeer, Carravaggio, Degas, Reubens. Notice most of these names are of painters-go to the museum and look at the paintings. Art, like all knowledge, bases itself on what came before the present. After you study the classics, look at the surrealists (Dali, Duchamps, Miro, to name a very few).
Then look at modern and post modern work.
Photography uses the same compositional rules as painting. You can also learn a lot about lighting from the old masters.
Enjoy.
