Need Help Choosing Digital Camera?
I just got a Canon Powesrhot SX10 for my birthday, which is a 10mp with a 20x zoom, no RAW, but a 6.16 sensor size. I also see that Olympus is coming out with a 12mp, 26x zoom, raw, but a 6.13 sensor size (Olympus SP-590).
I was told that RAW is a good feature to have, and that a camera with a larger sensor size is important. I like more megapixels, but I don’t know if a 2 mp difference is worth trading in my Canon for the Olympus.
Also wondering who puts out a better lens? Can someone guide me on what to do, and advice.
I like to take landscape photos, as well as people. I am not a professional, however I would like to become more involved in photography. Thanks!
OH, BY THE WAY… If someone knows of an even better one, please let me know (example: Panasonic z28). I want big mp with big zoom.
Stick with your camera for the time-being and get a ‘good book on photography’.
Once you are prepared to move forward, buy a DSLR.
