Ideas for digital photography assignment?
The theme is reflections, so reflecting on myself or somebody else or something else. We have to use 12 or more photographs and create an A3 photomontage. It is due at the end of this week and i have no idea what to do. Some examples of what people are doing are :
a girls house burnt down in a bushfire, so she is using photographs of her house before and after, there is a photo of her in front of the memorial and she has fire and firefighters etc.
i seriously have zero ideas.
There are 2 things that immediately jumps to mind, reflections in water,
and reflections as in “thinking”.
For water-reflections, I would try very colourful but distorted reflections in water. (stir the water). Do not show the true objects, just the reflections. It would be a bit abstract.
Thinking reflections: You know the famous sculpture “Thinker” by Rodin,

That might give you ideas. I would try a B&W portrait of a man in reflective mood, with a cigarette and curls of smoke. Or maybe someone lying on grass looking up at the skye in a thinking mood.
I am not so sure if fotos of the bushfire itself would go with the theme, although it is the preliminary event related to her reflection. I mean, a foto of a bushfire itself does not conjure up the concept “reflection” for me.
event.
Good luck
